WDBE 2024 Awards: Best Use of Location Information Award goes to team optimising urban life for highly sensitive people

The World of Digital Built Environment (WDBE) Summit has announced the winners of the WDBE 2024 Awards, which highlight notable digital advances in the built environment. This year, we wanted to highlight bold pioneers who are using location data to tackle the complex challenges of our built environment by launching the WDBE Best use of Location Information Award.

The winning team is: Smart Cities for Sensitive Minds: Optimising Urban Life for Highly Sensitive People (HSP).

Their work focuses on identifying the best routes for highly sensitive people to travel in cities, using optimised routes based on factors such as visual aesthetics and noise levels. The winning solution demonstrates how existing open data sources can be used to design more inclusive cities for highly sensitive people while improving the quality of life for everyone.
