Bringing European Geospatial Data Together – Location Europe Data Provider Webinar

Date & time: 27 February 2026, 09:00–10:30 CET
Location: Online (Microsoft Teams)
Registration: webropol.com/ep/locationeurope

How can national datasets become part of a truly cross-border European data ecosystem?

In this webinar, we invite national mapping agencies, transport authorities, statistical offices and other public data providers across Europe to explore how your datasets can be integrated into Location Europe – a platform that combines geospatial, statistical and climate data seamlessly across national borders.

Location Europe is designed to make European data easier to access, combine and use. It already brings together datasets from several countries, and now we are looking to expand the platform with new data providers.

This session is particularly relevant for organisations that:

  • Manage open or high-value datasets
  • Are preparing for or implementing the EU High Value Datasets Regulation
  • Are interested in cross-border data use, European data spaces and collaboration
  • Want to understand how their data could be used in new services, research and decision-making

What you'll learn

  • What Location Europe is and how the platform works
  • What kinds of datasets are already included and how they are used
  • How data providers can contribute their data
  • How Location Europe supports collaboration between public authorities, research and businesses

Programme

  • 09:00 Welcome
  • Location Innovation Hub: who we are and what we do, project manager Antti Jakobsson, Location Innovation Hub
  • Introduction to the Location Europe platform, Panu Muhli, Location Innovation Hub
  • Introduction to the Testbed Europe – Ingo Simonis, OGC
  • New data sets to include – discussion with participants
  • Finding collaboration opportunities and next steps
  • Open chat and conclusion
