Location innovation Hub promotes the creation of location-enabled ecosystems. Our vision is to enable and develop reference data spaces in our key target sectors: the built environment, bioeconomy, and health and well-being.

These reference data spaces enable businesses to take the next steps in meeting the challenges such as climate change and urbanisation. Reference data spaces are also crucial in developing European data spaces.

Reference data space may be used in connection with other data spaces and therefore create a common link between different data spaces. This can be done by using for example persistent identifiers and good life-cycle management. Idea is also that same real-world features should be identifiable between data spaces.

The following data spaces are envisaged:

General location reference & next generation navigation

Description:

Initial general location reference data space is generated using GeoE3 data integration platform and complemented by national open geospatial data sets using APIs.
