19.05.2025Unlock Funding for Your Space Innovation: ESA Phi-Lab Open Call
ESA Phi-Lab Finland is offering 4.4 M€ of space-related funding and support for geospatial innovation projects between 2025 and 2030. The selection for projects will take place at least once a year. The continuous open call was opened on 23 April 2025, and the first application cut-off date is 1 June 2025.
All legal entities established in Finland, including start-up companies, SMEs and larger industries, are eligible to apply. Projects can be in the fields of sensor technologies, advanced computation for geospatial services or novel digital geospatial services.
Each selected project will get ESA seed funding between 200 000 – 500 000 € and more than 200 hours of business and technical advice based on the project's needs.
The Location Innovation Hub is one of the partners of ESA Phi-Lab Finland, which means that selected projects will have access to services provided by LIH and the National Land Survey of Finland. These services include access to positioning and calibration services as well as location-based services such as the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute's Geovisualisation and XR Lab, Geoportti and the Location Europe data integration platform.
