How to use LUMI in geospatial business?
22.06.2023Location intelligence for healthcare professionals
The Radical Health event at the Helsinki Exhibition Centre 12.-14.6. was the first joint effort for Location Innovation Hub and Health Hub Finland to introduce digitalisation opportunities to healthcare professionals and innovators. Digitalization of healthcare and wellness business is truly a hot topic, and our joint trade fair counter provided inspiration for the visitors.
– The first Radical Health event was a refreshing new event and offered new encounters. I believe that the joint stand with LIH prompted new ideas about the possibilities of health and location information, says Project Manager Henrik Honkanen from HealthHub Finland.
– Fair guests were informed of the importance of location intelligence and use of location data through concrete examples related to things like service placement, asset management and indoor positioning benefits, says Technical Support Manager Faris Alsuhail of Location Innovation Hub.
Special interest in the event was sparked by the Geospatial Challenge Camp. Geospatial Challenge Camp Finland is a new innovation service of the Geoportti Research Infrastructure (Geoportti RI) and Location Innovation Hub (LIH). It aims at solving real-world sustainability challenges with open data and location technologies. The theme for the Geospatial Challenge Camp is Health and wellbeing. The Camp will run from September to December in 2023.
– Solving health and wellbeing challenges with intelligent location-based solutions seemed to be an interesting theme for many visitors, especially in terms of planning and implementing activities in new wellbeing services counties, says Professor Niina Käyhkö from the University of Turku. Käyhkö works in the design and implementation team of Challenge Camp and as an instructor for challenge teams.
