27.05.2026Location Finland Selected Among Finland’s Top Data Economy Solutions
The Location Finland platform developed by Location Innovation Hub has been selected for the Data Economy Spotlight 2026 list, which highlights some of the most inspiring data-driven operating models and solutions currently emerging in Finland. The list was published in the Data Economy Forum III event on 28 May 2026 in Helsinki. The initiative was organised by Data Spaces Alliance Finland.
Location Finland is a test platform that brings together geospatial data alongside other thematic datasets and makes them accessible through APIs. Its aim is to make the development of location-based solutions easier and faster. Combining location data with other data enables the creation of applications such as predictive models, intelligent decision-making tools, and digital twins.
Location Finland was launched at the end of 2025, and the platform continues to evolve with new datasets and features being added on an ongoing basis. At present, the platform includes datasets provided by National Land Survey of Finland, Finnish Environment Institute, Natural Resources Institute Finland, Finnish Meteorological Institute, Forum Virium Helsinki, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, City of Helsinki and Telia Finland.
