03.10.2023Learn to be a drone master with an open online course
Want to be a professional drone operator? Learn with the DroneMaster online course, which is free and open to everyone.
Finnish industry and research groups have a great demand for professional drone pilots. Drones have applications in various industries like waste management, energy sector, smart traffic and construction.
The free DroneMaster course has been published on DigiCampus, a shared learning environment for universities. The course is suitable for anyone who is involved in unmanned aviation for work, study or hobby purposes.
"Flying drones often requires the operator to master a variety of camera and instrumentation technologies and the analysis of the data they produce. This requires university level technical expertise in areas such as wireless data transmission and statistics. It also requires knowledge of drone-related legislation to avoid misuse and claims," says Jussi Kangasoja from Arctic Drone Labs.
Registration for the course requires registration to DigiCampus. If you do not have a university account, you can register using a Google account or by creating a new account via email.
The DroneMaster online course has been developed in cooperation between the University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences and Centria University of Applied Sciences.
