The Location Innovation Hub has published a free guide to help small and medium-sized enterprises make better use of location data in their business.   

The Guide to global and national location data introduces the use of location data and different global and national datasets through clear, practical examples. The guide is divided into five different topics: basemaps, spatial datasets, points of interest, navigation and geocoding. Each section begins with a brief introduction to the topic, followed by a related use case to give the reader an idea of how it can be applied to their own business.

Harnessing the power of location  

Spatial data refers to data that has a location. This type of data is used extensively in our everyday lives and can be extremely beneficial to businesses.

Whether it's planning and optimising transport routes or visualising locations on a map, it's all about using geospatial information. We hope that this guide will lower the threshold for more effective use of geospatial data across a range of businesses.
